Who Is Eligible for Audiology Services in Aged Care?

Older adults over 65 who have been identified as needing hearing support through their aged care assessment process.
Seniors with permanent or significant hearing loss whose care plan includes goals related to their hearing and communication.
Residents living in aged care facilities who require support with hearing aids, listening devices, or communication strategies, which may be funded through their Aged Care Package (if applicable) or other funding avenues.
DVA Gold and White Card Holders are typically eligible for services related to hearing conditions.
Individuals who are eligible for the Australian Government's Hearing Services Program may also access services through this program, regardless of their aged care arrangements.
Self-funded residents
Pensioners living in aged care facilities may be eligible for fully subsidised ($0) hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.

I first visited Enhance Hearing Glenmore Park after being referred for testing following an ear infection. I had previously been tested at a different organization and was not happy with the outcome as I felt I had been "rushed through."
My visit with Johanna Rai at Enhance Hearing Glenmore Park was quite different! During my hearing assessment, Johanna listened closely to my history and carefully noted my symptoms. She conducted the testing taking into account factors such as my tinnitus and I felt more confident in the accuracy of her assessment. Johanna then reviewed my results and explained everything to me in terms I could understand.
When my specialist recommended that it was time to start using hearing aids, I returned to Enhance Hearing Glenmore Park. Johanna guided me through the selection process, helping me find something that was comfortable to wear and that suited my needs.
I have been very happy with the results. I now find it much easier to follow conversations when I’m out and about, and I can cope better in crowded locations. My wife has also commented that I’m no longer asking people to repeat themselves all the time.
