Enhance hearing is owned and operated by a team of passionate,committed and experienced Audiologists, with a deep vision to provide excellence in hearing care for medical professionals and their patients. We are locally owned and operated and not aligned to any multinational hearing aid retailers or hearing aid manufacturers. We will provide all audiological services at your practice by having an audiologist visiting your practice at least once a week. The frequency of the visits can be increased depending on space availability and patient waiting time.

Free quick hearing check for anyone over the age of 50.
Full comprehensive audiological evaluation including Pure tone. Assessment with air and bone conduction and Speech assessment.
Middle ear function evaluation using tympanometry.
Comprehensive hearing aid assessment if no contra indications exist and a permanent sensorineural hearing loss is diagnosed.
Demonstration of hearing aids and personalised hearing solutions.
Pre employment hearing assessment.
Hearing protection and assistive listening devices.
Quality report on patient results send to you promptly after each test.

Why Refer for a Hearing Test?

One in six people in Australia has some level of hearing loss. This is projected to grow to 1 in 4 by 2050.
Over half the population aged 60–70 has hearing loss, increasing to 70% for those over 70 and 80% for those over 80.
Research shows it takes people an average of 7 years to address their hearing loss from the time they become aware of it.
Strong links exist between hearing health and conditions such as dementia, diabetes, depression, and tinnitus.

Who Should Be Referred for a Hearing Check:

Individuals with associated conditions like Alzheimer’s, diabetes, tinnitus, vertigo, sudden hearing loss, or middle ear issues.
All patients over the age of 50 as part of routine health check-ups.

People with a history of working in noisy environments.

How Long Does a Hearing Test Last?

An initial screening takes about 15 minutes. If a full evaluation is needed, the entire consultation can take up to an hour due to the thoroughness required. I had previously been tested at a different organization and was not happy with the outcome as I felt I had been "rushed through."

My visit with Johanna Rai at Enhance Hearing Glenmore Park was quite different! During my hearing assessment, Johanna listened closely to my history and carefully noted my symptoms. She conducted the testing taking into account factors such as my tinnitus and I felt more confident in the accuracy of her assessment. Johanna then reviewed my results and explained everything to me in terms I could understand.

When my specialist recommended that it was time to start using hearing aids, I returned to Enhance Hearing Glenmore Park. Johanna guided me through the selection process, helping me find something that was comfortable to wear and that suited my needs.

I have been very happy with the results. I now find it much easier to follow conversations when I’m out and about, and I can cope better in crowded locations. My wife has also commented that I’m no longer asking people to repeat themselves all the time.
